Spamihilator works between your email client and the Internet and examines every incoming message. Useless and unsolicited spam mails (junk) will be filtered out. This process runs completely in the background.

Spamihilator uses a number of different filters in order to achieve the highest spam recognition rate possible. The program is highly configurable and can be extended by plugins.

The program makes use of a built-in wizard that offers step-by-step guidance throughout the entire process, so even rookies can learn to tweak the parameters in no time.

It works with various email clients, such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Thunderbird, IncrediMail, Pegasus Mail, Phoenix Mail or Opera. Plus, it supports both IMAP and POP3 email accounts.

The configuration wizard automatically detects the email programs installed on your computer and makes all the necessary settings for you. You actually need to confirm the detected email account and press a few next buttons. It is recommended to close all email clients before you proceed with the configuration process.

System tray running mode

As soon as you finish setting up your email client, you can find the application running in the system tray. A right-click on the utility’s icon reveals a set of features that can be quickly accessed, such as open the Recycle Bin, show spam statistics (graphs), open the Training Area, disable the spam filter, check an online help manual, and configure a rich suite of features.

Training Area and Recycle Bin

The Training Area is the place where you are given the freedom to classify emails as good or bad. Plus, it includes a built-in learning algorithm that helps the application distinguish spam messages from good ones.

Email messages that are identified as spam do not reach your inbox. They are sent to the Recycle Bin, the place where you can restore the emails in case you miss several items.

Spam Recognition
Spamihilator uses a number of different filters in order to achieve the highest spam recognition rate possible. The Learning Filter (Bayesian Filter) uses the rules of Thomas Bayes (English mathematician, 18th century) and calculates a certain spam probability for every email. Therefore the Learning Filter already recognizes more than 98% of spam emails. You can even train this filter! So it will know your messages even better than you.

Lists of Senders
Add your buddys’ mail addresses to the list of friends. The software will render all messages from these senders to your mail client without filtering.

Spam and Non-Spam
All recognized spam emails will be saved to the app Recycle Bin. They will not be rendered to your mail client. So, the best possible separation between Spam and Non-Spam can be achieved! Of course, you can restore messages from the Recycle Bin.

POP3 and IMAP
The tool is able to process the widely used mail protocols POP3 and IMAP. It, therefore, can be used with almost every email client and email server.

Usability
Spamihilator runs with all mail clients that support POP3 or IMAP. Of course, there is a Setup-Wizard, which automatically configures your mail client.
