How To Know If Someone Viewed Your TikTok Video
If you post a lot of content on a video-based social platform like TikTok, you might need to keep track of who watched a specific video on your account to keep growing and getting people interested.
On TikTok, you can’t keep track of which users are looking at your videos or profile. There used to be a way to see who was watching your videos by seeing who visited your profile, but that option is no longer available.
But, contrary to what some websites say, TikTok no longer has the video views feature. It was taken out of the app sometime in early 2020 for reasons nobody knows. TikTok never said that they were taking away the ability to view, and they never said why they did it either. Because of this, we can only guess why they took the feature away.
Tech support might tell you that video views or profile views aren’t working right now because they are making changes and updating the software. Still, you can’t always trust what you hear or read, especially if the source is a third-party provider working for TikTok.
The good news is that no one can tell if you’re looking at their content, and you don’t even have to block them to keep them from seeing that! But keep in mind that the feature could suddenly appear one day without you noticing.
You can also use other helpful analytic tools to keep your TikTok profile healthy and growing and to make changes to better fit your channel’s audience. You can see who has watched your videos or profile, but you can also use other tools to find out who is interested in you. There are a few steps to this method, such as upgrading your account to “Pro” and going to the Analytics page to see and analyze your statistics.

How to Check Who Views Your TikTok Video
We won’t see a list of who watches your videos, but there are ways to figure out who does. For example, checking the Activity section is the best way to find out who saw one of your TikToks. From here, you can see everything that’s been going on with your account, like who liked or commented on your video.
But it won’t tell you who actually looked at it. Unfortunately, this doesn’t help with stalkers, but there are some native TikTok features to help you analyze your reach.
But that doesn’t mean you have no say over who watches your TikTok videos.
How to See Your TikTok Views
Even if you can’t see who has watched your video, you can still keep track of how many times it has been watched. If you want your TikTok post to go viral, you need to keep track of how many times it has been viewed. All videos show up on the “For You” page, but which ones show up more depends on a complicated algorithm that looks at the number of views, likes, and comments.
Your profile page makes it easy to keep track of how many times your videos have been watched. Just do what’s written here:
- Launch the TikTok app and tap the Me icon at the bottom-right of the screen. You’ll reach your profile screen.
- Select the Timeline icon(6 vertical lines) below the Edit Profile button to go to your videos if you’re not already there.
- Even though you can’t see who looked at your post, you can see how many times it has been seen in the bottom-left corner of every video you post. This is a good sign of how popular your video is and how much attention it is getting.
Let’s say you don’t like how many people have seen your video. In that case, you can do things like use relevant TikTok hashtags, follow current trends, make sure your video is interesting, and so on.

Why Are TikTok Analytics So Important?
It’s very important to make your content fit your audience, because it can make the difference between gaining and losing followers. Even if you’re just starting out on TikTok, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your TikTok analytics and stats so you can see which of your videos get the most engagement, what kind of content does well on your profile, who and where your audience is, and so much more. Even though you can’t see who saw your TikTok posts, you can see how many people did.
A foolproof way to grow your TikTok following and build the profile of your dreams is to make sure your content is relevant to your audience and do more of what works.
Another unfortunate aspect of TikTok’s user management tactics is that you can watch TikTok videos without logging in. This means that even if you block someone, they can still watch your videos. However, you can change the privacy to show only your followers.
All you need to do is head over to TikTok and follow these steps:
- Tap on the Profile option in the lower right-hand corner.
- Tap on Settings & Privacy.
- Tap on Privacy.
- Toggle the switch next to Private Account.
You can turn off Stitches, Duets, and Downloads if you don’t want other people to be able to see your videos. By turning off these options, your videos are safer.
Be Careful with Public Videos
Even though having a lot of views can be fun and make you feel good, it’s always important to make sure your content is appropriate and safe. If you post inappropriate things, your videos could be taken down and your profile could be banned. Know more on how to get your TikTok account unbanned.
If you post a video you don’t want everyone to see, you might want to make your profile private and limit who can follow you. But if you want to grow your fan base and want to post something fun and family-friendly, you could do one of the many TikTok challenges.
TikTok Views FAQS
Can I see who viewed my TikTok profile?
I’m sorry, but no. We used to be able to see in the Activity section of TikTok who had looked at our profile. But that feature was taken away, and now the only way to tell if someone is looking at your profile is if they like a lot of your videos in a short amount of time.
Can I see who viewed my video if it was duetted or stitched?
You won’t get any alerts when something happens on a duetted or stitched video, though (other than that it has been stitched or duetted). This new version of your video really belongs to someone else.
You can’t see who likes or watches the video, only who comments on it.
Can you see who has looked at your TikTok account? Yes, you can see who has looked at your profile if you have turned on the Profile View History and the other things listed above are true. On TikTok, you can only see how many times each video has been watched.
