In BioWare and LucasArts’ story-driven massively multiplayer online game The Old Republic, you will be the hero in your own Star Wars saga. Thousands of years before Darth Vader’s emergence, the galaxy is divided by a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Choose between becoming a Jedi, a Sith, or one of the other classic Star Wars characters, and make choices that will shape your life story and decide whether you will choose the light or dark side of the Force. You’ll meet brave friends along the way who will fight alongside you or potentially betray you depending on your actions.
This game is a Star Wars-themed massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). The game was revealed on October 21, 2008, by BioWare Austin and a supplementary team at BioWare Edmonton. On December 20, 2011, the video game was released in North America and parts of Europe for the Microsoft Windows platform.
This plot takes place in the Star Wars universe, shortly after the re-emerging Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic have reached a tenuous ceasefire. There are eight different groups in the game. Each of the eight grades has a three-act plot that unfolds as the character moves through the stages. Players will join either the Republic or the Sith, but their morality can be somewhere in the light/dark continuum.
The game contains comprehensive customization choices, completely voiced dialogue, companion characters, and dialogue options comparable to BioWare’s other role-playing games.
