The Hot Take: The movie starring Johnny Depp and Gerard Butler will be released on September 30th, 2022.

It is believed that Tubi and MarVista moved the production of the movie up to a higher priority than it would have otherwise been. Tubi intended to “catch a timely take on a topic that became part of the cultural spirit, giving a distinct vision of what millions of people witnessed play out in the headlines over the summer,” according to Adam Lewinson, chief content officer for the platform.

Hot Take: When it premieres, The Depp/Heard Trial will be made available to view on the streaming service Tubi, which is operated by Fox. Tubi is a platform that offers free movie streaming in the United States, but it is not available in the United Kingdom.

Hot Take Plot: The Depp/Heard Trial Movie

Hot take Movie Plot: A dramatization of the defamation trial that took place between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard and which concluded on June 1st, 2022 is going to be aired under the title The Depp/Heard Trial.

During the trial, Depp sued Heard for $50 million, claiming that she harmed his career by implying that he assaulted her in a story published in 2018 by the Washington Post. Heard was the defendant in the lawsuit. Even though she did not name him, Depp claimed that the allegation prevented him from receiving acting employment.

It is stated that the movie will depict the tale of the two-month long defamation trial while also following the connection that Depp and Heard had inside and outside of the courtroom.

During the trial, the jury decided in Depp’s favor, and they awarded him a total of $15 million in damages: $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages (the latter of which was later reduced). Heard was successful in pursuing one of her three counterclaims, and Depp was found to be liable for making a defamatory comment about Heard in the year 2016.

Recent reports indicated that Depp was romantically involved with Joelle Rich, the attorney who defended him in the case he brought against The Sun tabloid in the United Kingdom. Rich was not one of the lawyers who represented him in the Heard trial, and even though she was present in the courtroom, the Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial movie is not expected to address their new relationship. Rich was not one of the lawyers who represented him in the Heard trial.

In the upcoming movie about the Depp and Heard trial, Days of Our Lives star Mark Hapka will play Johnny Depp, and Megan Davis will portray Amber Heard.

The role of Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, will be played by Station 19’s Melissa Marty, while Mary Carrig will take on the role of Amber Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft.

Guy Nicolucci is the one responsible for the script, while Sara Lohman will be the one directing the movie. Brittany Clemons, Angie Day, Marianne C. Wunch, Hannah Pillemer, and Fernando Szew are the ones that have been responsible for its production.
