World of warships is a free-to-play naval warfare game from Wargaming. This game is a sequel to World of Tanks Blitz and World of warplanes. It is a massively multiplayer online game where a player can either play as an individual or in a group. The world of warships gameplay also contains a player versus environment or PvE battle mode and seasonal competitive modes for pro players.

In the world of warships gameplay, the player needs to fight against other players using their ship. The ships are modeled from different eras and come in different categories like destroyers, battleships, cruisers, and aircraft carriers. The player needs to choose the national navies from European countries and battle against each other.

How To Play World of Warships?

This is an online video game and you need to register your account with Wargaming.net. If you’re new to the Wargaming universe, create an account to get started.

After registration, You can start the game by choosing your service. World of Warships has a unique player leveling system, designed to help new players adapt smoothly.  You’ll start at Level 1, playing Co-op Battles against bots to get you comfortable with the game mechanics and how the ships move. The more Experience (XP) you earn in battles, the faster you’ll unlock higher levels of your Service Record and get your hands on new in-game features and rewards.

Battle Types

Introductory Mission

Master the basics of ship control, gunnery, and capturing control areas. The Introductory Mission can be played as frequently as desired, up until a player has completed 10 battles of any type.
Available only to players new to the game.

Co-op Battle

Team up with other players and fight a team of AI bots in an 8v8 format. Polish your naval skills, master coordinated combat maneuvers, or test newly acquired warships!
Your primary goal is to destroy all enemies or capture the bases/key areas.

Random Battle

Here’s where the real fun begins! Set sail in a classic PvP-style battle that puts your combat skills to the test! Random Battles feature two teams, maximum of 12 warships each. The main objective is to capture the bases / key areas or destroy all enemy ships. Players are selected according to the type and tier of warships in the queue.

Scenarios

This battle type embodies the next stage of evolution for Co-op Battles in World of Warships. In Scenarios, you take part in epic naval operations, each offering a unique set of tasks, like saving onshore installations, escorting support vessels, or protecting allies in distress. Scenarios are conducted with teams of seven players facing waves of AI opponents. This battle type is for Tier V and VI ships only, and becomes available once you reach Service Record level 8.

Types of Game Mode

Standard

This is the baseline mode in World of Warships. Your mission is to capture or “cap” the enemy base or destroy all enemy warships. One player can cap in three minutes; two or more will take 90 seconds. Additional players won’t increase the speed, just spread the points around. Taking any damage will cause a loss of half your capture points.

Domination

This mode has multiple neutral capture areas between the two opposing teams. Your goal is to advance your team’s victory points to 1,000 before the other team does so. Your team earns victory points by capturing and holding areas and by sinking enemy ships. (Destroying all enemy ships ends the battle immediately.) You do not earn any combat XP by capturing or defending zones in this mode.

Epicenter

The game mode is aimed at encouraging more aggressive gameplay with close-range encounters. Epicenter is a huge zone of concentric capture areas, with each of the “rings” treated as a separate capture area for scoring purposes. As teams move from the outer areas into the center, they begin to accrue capture points for the outer “rings” they are within. With this arrangement of key areas, the most advantageous tactic is to hold the central (smallest) key area.
